Block Party - Final Prototype

Here's a link to my blog where I discuss my project and the video for my Block Party.

I wanna thank my fellow classmates for the helpful support and feedback in class today. Thanks guys! Hopefully I can push this project further along during the summer or next semester. I'll try to redo the video this weekend.

Block Party Final Project - Progress so Far

So, the last time I updated you guys on my status, I had mentioned that I stripped the panels on my other project I was going to recycle for the usage of this one. Well, I've cut my project down in size, but I made a mistake with one of the panels, and then realized the whole thing needed to be smaller. I'm basically going to spend the entire weekend trying to figure out how to fix my mistake. I've started building the compartment for the pull out mat but it's having trouble sticking to the board because I couldn't remove the tissue paper. I have a spare poster board in case of back up.

Block Party - Progress

A while back, I had another project for which I create a box structure out of poster board. I used a lot of rubber cement and used paneling for that project, since it was a maze for a robot. Since I thought it the shape of the box looked similar to mines, and I had no space to keep the box, I decided to reuse it instead. So far I've stripped it of it's paneling from before. I need to cut the box down to size by cutting off the uneven half. I've already started this although I didn't take photos, I apologize for that.

Block Party - Party in a Box Mock Up

This is the mock up I did last week for my project. I'm posting this because I never got around to posting this on it's own. I also want to share the video I showed in class for those who want to see the whole thing.

Scribbit Virtual Pen 1.0

For today's presentation, I thought I'd link to the work I did for my Major Studio class regarding my Virtual Bathroom Stall social network. I wasn't able to build a site, but I did make a fake prototype/mock up of how I imagined it looking. I also made an after effects mock up of how I imagined the scanning software functioning along with the hardware.

Here's a link to follow to my personal blog.

Week 2 Homework

Muzzy is a children's language show that helps kids learn different languages through visualizations. These videos helped kids learn how to speak multiple languages by utilizing repetition.

Legos have been proven to be really effective for tactile learners. As Legos are hands on, they allow learners to constantly build and create new objects with the blocks of items in front of them.

I apologize for not showing this presentation earlier. This was my Pecha Kucha project. I was a bit confused by the guidelines for the assignments and did websites/magazine covers/textile and pattern design as well as some designs I encountered on the street.
